Hi, my name is Matt Sponaugle ( pronounced: Spon-au-goal). I was introduced into New Homes Sales in 2001 as a Sales Assistant with Beazer Homes. During this time, I spent 2 years behind the scenes learning all the ins and outs of selling new construction. My new homes selling career took place with Paul Shoopman/ Dura Homes in 2004 to 2006. My experience in new homes peaked my interest in real estate as a whole. After 2 years in new homes, I switched to the resale market alongside my mother, Jayne Gauci, who was with Keller Williams at that time.
Growing up in both Speedway and Zionsville has allowed me to stay current with both the West side market and the North side market. Now that I currently live in the heart of downtown Carmel area, I tend to focus my business from Zionsville to Fishers. Enjoying all that the northside has to offer, allows me to stay in the know on all the latest developments and restaurants etc on the northside of Indy! Which is a huge resource for my clients.
After a sabbatical from the Real Estate industry for several years (I was in my 20's and early 30's, you all know how that goes; I was trying to find myself), I found what I was looking for was already in front of me, REAL ESTATE! Looking back now, it has been quite the learning experience. Now that I have turned the bend of the 40's, life is much more fun; no challenge in RE is too big or too scary. My clients' needs are more apparent, and the experience has put new tools in my belt to have new resources and solutions to move them forward in life. After 15+ years now of experience, the answers for the most part are there; minus a few. For those unanswered questions, I still call on Mom for. Who doesn't, or wouldn't ask Mom and Dad?.
At the end of the day, for me, there is no greater feeling, as a result of my expertise I am able to guide a seller through the process, and netting them the most money possible. When buyers are truly satisfied because they were able to take the advice from me to help them WIN a contract and buy a home in a super tight market, that is a huge WIN! For my clients who decide to build, no one knows the uncertainties of building new construction like I do! Having a realtor advocating for them is key; with me by their side, they are represented! As I said earlier, navigating the waters of real estate and being a resource for friends and clients who need my service is worth it!
